The set's outer shell unfolds into a palette with three flat mixing surfaces and four deeper mixing wells. The Mini Plus features a cartridge system that holds eight half pans of watercolors. This color tray clips on to the palette in three different configurations for maximum versatility.

A Winsor & Newton reversible travel brush comes stashed securely inside the outer shell that measures 2.25 in. x 4.25 in. x 1.15 in.

The eight colors included with the set are lemon yellow, cadmium red pale, alizarin crimson, ultramarine, cerulean blue, viridian, yellow ochre, and burnt sienna.
