These convenient blocks of watercolor paper eliminate the need for stretching. Aquarelle Arches watercolor paper is acid-free, chlorine-free, and made of 100% cotton fibers for extra strength and stability.

Arches is mould made. As the paper is tub-sized in natural gelatin and air-dried, it can take scrubbing, scratching, and erasing while keeping the original intensity of the watercolor.

Arches uses no optical brighteners so its natural white color will not yellow with age. It is excellent for watercolor, gouache, pen and ink, acrylics, and calligraphy.

Each block consists of sheets of paper pre-stretched, glued together along all four edges, and supported by a rigid backing. The top sheet is easily separated from the block by inserting a knife under the sheet and running it around the edges.

Blocks of 140 lb. paper contain 20 sheets. Blocks of 300 lb. paper contain 10 sheets.

I use this paper in a dot-matrix printer to prepare Glicee prints of original watercolors. It's convenience and archival qualities are very important to me, and it meets or exceeds my expectations.

Arches watercolor blocks are terrific. I love not having to stretch paper, and can just sit down anytime and paint. Wonderful. It also stands up to just about anything without buckling.

As a beginner to the watercolor world, I found this paper block to be the best of all the paper I have tried. I was not concerned with the movement of the paper or leakage. As I was focused on brush stroke and color mixing this paper allowed me to enjoy the moment.

ARCHES Watercolor Blocks-As a beginner into watercolor creating, I have found that Arches is the best of the best watercolor paper. I have Parkinson's Disease and watercolor is very good for me to releive stress and to relax. MisterArt.com is the site. I have no problems to date and I will continue to use ARCHES Watercolor Blocks.

i LOVE the arches watercolor blocks! the paper does not buckle with regular watercolor work, and buckles only the tiniest bit (then dries perfectly flat) when wetted, re-worked to the extreme. good grain, soft white paper color. my first choice.

I've tried several types of watercolor paper from inexpensive to very good quality, including Fabriano Uno. Arches is by far my very favorite. It really holds up, even to a scrubbing. This is the only paper I now care to buy.

the Arches watercolor block is a wonderful product that easily stands up to scratching, erasing and almost anything. It has the great feature of not having to prep anything before beginning a painting-----I wouldn't use anything else. More importantly-----Mister Art offers the lowest price on this product that I have ever seen!

I used 300lb Aquarelle Watercolour paper to make twenty Salt Prints for an Exibition I am presently holding at the Paco dos Duques, Guimaraes, Portugal. I found the paper very easy to use and I expect my prints to last for up to 900 years without fading.

My favorite watercolor paper without exception. Easy to use strong and a beautiful texture. I use it for both watercolors and pen and ink. Mr. Art has by far the best price I've seen. Another big plus: Mr. Art ships it properly packed so it arrives without dinged corners. I have never received anything from Mr. Art that was damaged in shipping.
