This sketchbook is quite portable and very sturdy (the covers feel like two rigid plastic boards or plastic coated cardboard) and works well with Koh-I-Noor Nexus Art pens, Copic and Prismacolor markers (although the Prismacolor inks tend to bleed through, so it might be a good idea to use a sheet of scrap paper to protect the sketchbook pages below). Caran D'Ache Neocolor I Metallic and II watersoluble crayons also show well on this opaque smooth pages. Derwent Aquatone and Watercolor pencils look too light on this paper because of the lack of "tooth". Pentel Aquash watersoluble crayons show brightly when dry, but the colors fade too much when applying light washes of water. This sketchbook works best with markers as its brand name suggests.

Been experimenting with many, many papers to get sketching pad that can truly work with pen and ink, pencil and ink with a light watercolor wash. This paper is smooth, opague and works with all of the above AND it erases beautifully. A superb paper with real weight to it and comes in a 50 sheet pad form that really can be used on two sides. Won't work if you want significant tooth but, for all else, outstanding. Good waterproof cover and spiral ring for flat laydown. Excellent design.

This is the best sketchbook I have ever used. It is truly compatible with pencil, pen and marker. I load a lot of color on with ink and markers and the paper can handle it. The spiral binding is nice for working flat and the durable cover is reassuring for travel. Keep 'em coming.

The best sketchbook I have found. I sketch in pen and watercolor and the paper in the Copic sketchbook is easily able to handle the watercolor washes. The paper is very smooth. The cover is also very durable also. Highly recommended.
