Artistico Watercolor Paper

Founded in 1282, the paper mill at Fabriano is the oldest continuously operated paper mill in Europe. The elegant Artistico watercolor paper represents the extremely high quality for which Fabriano is known.

These 100% cotton, mouldmade sheets are acid and chlorine free, with a neutral pH to protect against aging. They have two deckled edges, are internally sized, and feature an external sizing that is the most advanced in the world.

Artistico watercolor paper takes color beautifully and is durable, so it will withstand lifting and scraping. Ideal for watercolor, this paper is also great for gouache, ink, acrylic, pen and ink drawing, and printmaking.

Available in traditional white, which has a warm hue, and extra white, which has a brilliant white hue. 22 in. x 30 in.

Fabriano "soft" watercolor paper is fabulous. It has a wonderful texture, is durable and easy to use. Fabriano is the only manufacturer of this type of paper. I highly recommend it.

This is hands-down the best hot-press watercolor paper I have ever used. It has a beautiful way of accepting the paint, which retains its brilliance once applied, and yet you can blot it off easily if needed. Fabriano Artistico hotpress encourages a "loose" way of working which is hard to achieve with any other paper. I am a total convert, and HIGHLY recommend this paper!

I love this paper for my mixed media pieces. It stands up to a lot...paints, inks, distressing, stamping, misting, spraying, embossing...plus it has a beautiful texture.

I make polariod transfers using hot press watercolor paper. I decided to buy sheets instead of the pads since the edging on the pads would be difficult to work with. My order from Mr. Art came very quickly, packaged perfectly and the paper is exactly what I was hoping to get. The right color, weight and texture. Definitely ordering again when I make more which is very soon!

This is excellent paper for many uses. Very lovely and light but with substance. I use it for wax painting and the colors are spectacular!

This paper is also great for colored pencil drawings as it can stand up to repeated erasings. Using it for multi-media work with a combination of watercolor and colored pencil yields spectacular results!
