The premium rough rendering surface! Bristol is an artist quality, true two-ply pasted, drawing Bristol Board with a neutral pH for the best possible archival characteristics. Both sides of the sheet are identical and may be reversed for economy. Available in both a vellum and plate surface. The vellum (kid) surface is designed for dry wash, pencil, air brush, pastel, acrylics, brush and wash, lone and wash, or markers. The plate (smooth) surface is designed for pen, pencil, and markers. Both surfaces will handle erasure and reworking. Xerox compatible. 12 sheets per each tape-bound pad.

I love this paper! It is great for people who are just starting to learn how to use Prismacolor markers and Illustration with Mixed media. It is very forgiving. I used it for my Fashion Illustration projects. It allows me to blend markers, tone with layers and layers, add white gel pen, color pencils and ink all on the same surface! It absorbs it all fairly quickly and the ink rarely ever bleeds to the other side. This paper makes beginning work look pretty neat and professional. I will be ordering more. I use the Pro Art Bristol Pad for building models. I am able to successfully erase all guide lines drawn, and the thickness of the bristol board hold up well to scoring and adhering.

Copier friendly this paper is exceptional for drawing. I can go to my local copy center and get bristol board prints for signed ltd editions at about 1.25 each BW and 2.48 color including paper cost and copy cost. WOW!
