Adirondack Alcohol Inks are specially formulated to create a vibrant, polished effect on non-porous surfaces. They’re permanent, fast drying, transparent, and acid-free. The inks are ideal for use on glossy paper, dominoes, metal, foil, shrink plastic, glass, and other slick surfaces. They’re also great for airbrushing and available in Lights, Brights, and Earthtones color palettes.

The four Metallic Mixatives are specially formulated to create metallic highlights when combined with other Adirondack Alcohol Ink colors. The Snow Cap Mixative is a white opaque ink used to create pastel, marbleized, and faux patina effects when mixed with other alcohol ink colors.

Is there enough space here to write all the wonderful things about this product? These colors are amazing, the effects are astounding (especially when used with the blending compound) and the fact that they are able to be used on all non porous surfaces has given artists new and exciting possibilities. One of the most exciting aspects is using the inks on a metal surface, heat setting it, then stamping an image with the archival black ink, and quickly rubbing off the ink. The black ink will remove the alcohol ink in just that space, and leave the rubber stamp negative image in the alcohol ink design. Cool Stuff!

These inks are amazingly fun to work with. The effects you can obtain are truly gorgeous. I use them on polymer clay.

Very easy to use; however, use latex gloves. Takes days for it to wear off. Creates a beautiful and one of a kind design on metal and glass. Love the look. Use several colors create your own look.

I love these! I use them on air-dry clay and wood. You can mix them into the clay (use gloves) or paint them on after the clay is dry. Water them down a bit on dry clay for better results. They absorb wonderfully into wood giving you the ultimate set of stains.

I love the alcohol inks. The colors are vivid but can be muted with the blending solution. The inks last a long time and a little goes a long way. I have sued them on metal, glass, ceremac tiles, photos, glossy paper and card stock. If you use these inks, make sure you have the blending solution and the applicator and pads that are sold seperately.

The Alcohol Inks are just amazing! I am a fine artist, and use them on YUPO, aluminum, canvas, and anything else that has a shiny, impervious surface! I have won many awards for art created with Adirondack Alcohol Inks. The vivid colors attract attention and I get a lot of "WOWs"! As delicate as they are, the bottles always arrive well packaged and perfect.

I've dabbled in many media over the years but never found the right one until I tried Adirondack alcohol inks in 2011. I use them mainly on Yupo but also on Claybord, cradled wooden board, metal, and plastic. I am addicted, and I'm thrilled to have finally found the one thing that clicks for me and allows me to paint the way I want to.
