Essential to learning photo oils. It thins out the photo oils and makes the photo oils easier to mix. I use it to thin out the colors to get just the right tint on my photo just the way I want it. I have tried to color black and white photos without it and ended up throwing that photo out. A little goes a long way.. and helps make your colors last longer too. I won't be without this in my Marshall's supply.
