I really appreciate your prompt service. I needed the tape for a Valentine's gift for my husband and it came in plenty of time. I look forward to always using your service. You're the best!

Resources - Study artists, styles and periods, art terms and more

This Month in Art History

September, 1940 - Four curious teenagers discovered a hidden entrance to the Lascaux caves in southwest France and became the first modern people to lay eyes on the Paleolithic paintings located within. The images of horses, deer, bulls and various symbols are though to be over seventeen thousand years old.

The soul thrives on art, and MisterArt.com is here to help your soul experience as much as possible! Whether you want to brush up on famous artists, explore the styles and periods of art, consult the glossary, or arm yourself with product knowledge from comprehensive purchase guides, MisterArt.com has collected all of the resources you need to plunge head-first into the dizzying world of visual arts.

The soul cannot thrive in the absence of art. If you don't want the pleasure of art, you are not human; and if you are not human, you don't have a soul.

- Thomas Moore

I love these pallets. I have one for my warm yellows, 1 for cool yellows and you can write on the 2 big wells with the colors that are above ;if you use a woodless graphite pencil, it won't rub off easily. This way I know the exact color and color bias for my red, blues, yellows, violets, greens, and oranges. I find I only need one for my white, black/grey tints and earth tone water colors. For stains, I clean off with olive oil then follow with soap and water so oil doesn't get into my watercolor pigments.

I might have gotten this but if this is beginner's ballet (based upon editor's description) why does the cover illustration have a girl en pointe? That doesn't happen until year two or three even. It will give girls the wrong impression--that going en pointe is easy, fast and will happen almost automatically. The cover illustration is enough to not get this book.

This paper is really nice stuff - I like it for charcoal + chalk pencils and black + white ink pens. I wish you guys carried the 5.5 x 8.5 size too, though!
