The reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is (1) the length is too short. The author could have spent more time going over variations of her techniques (only one example was provided for most techniques). (2)She also seems to be unaware of the transfer techniques that work just fine on ink-jet (paper) prints & transparency prints. If this had been the only book I read, I might have thought it was impossible to get a good transfer from an inkjet print. On the plus side, she did fire me up with an intense desire to try out her ideas, and I made several collages on strectched canvas before the holiday gift-making madness descended. My mother and I both have used her ideas for framing our artwork. Maybe we can get her to write us another book, one that fleshes out her ideas a little better, and gives more variations.

This book is great for learning tecniques. I read it cover to cover. I usually don't read books cover to cover as they bore me. This one kept my interest and kept me learning. A wonderful adition to an artist library. I turn to it again and again.

This book is great, it leans far mroe towards the collage and more "art" side of the spectrum than the "craft" side. It's packed with great techniques that are easy, fun and produce beautiful results.
