Oh yeah these pens are so much FUN !!!! I just ordered a quadruple load of the black and white. I run out of ink in those two colors the fastest. They seem to write on EVERY surface! The colorful ones do NOT show up on black paper, as I assumed. I tried using the clear as recommended, but it always picks up the color-over. And as the gentleman stated, brushing a protective coat over it does make the colors run. I did try spraying it with a matte spray, and the colors did not run, but they didn't shine anymore either. So I don't use them to address envelopes, as they might get smeared. I'm still giving these pens a 5 star rating, because nothing is perfect and because I love them!

SAKURA Gelly Roll Metallic Pens are great for tracing templates on fabric when doing applique quilting. They flow smoothly and are easy to see. They don't stretch fabic like most fabric pencils.

These pens are a wonderful multi-purpose pen - I use them both at work and for scrapbooking. Their colors are brilliant and the ink flows consistently without the clogging I have experienced with other similar pens.

I ordered this set for my 5 year old daughter to color with--she likes to use pens because Daddy has a lot of pens--and she loves them. The colors are great and they cover easily and with no fuss. Great pens for art type projects.

I have tried several different brands of pens, with varying levels of satisfaction. Sakura Gelly Rolls never let me down! I wish they came in even more colors!

Sakura needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. Still, the gold and the silver are gorgeous and very shiny. These two stay where they're put and cover very well. However, the other colors I bought had no shine, and one, the burgundy, came out violet colored at best! Sakura has been a trusted brand to me for years so I'm surprised at this slip-up.

Looks very nice. Easy too use and affordable. One draw back. The ink smears when a clear finish is brushed over it.
