Gamvar is a low molecular weight synthetic resin varnish. For use on paintings made with oil colors, acrylics and alkyds, it has a high refractive index similar to that of natural resins and oils so colors are fully saturated to bring out the best in the painting.
Water clear, Gamvar is a revolutionary development in protecting paintings from dirt and dust. It does not yellow or become increasingly difficult to remove like natural resin varnishes made of Damar or Mastic. It also contains a UV stabilizer.
Each package of Gamvar comes with a 5.4 oz. bottle of varnish and a 5.4 ounce resin mixture mixing jar.
