Each Bob Ross book is carefully detailed with step-by-step instructions and full color paintings, based on the PBS oil painting TV series, "The Joy of Painting". Each volume contains an introduction that includes sections covering paints, mixing colors, palette, brushes, brush cleaning, palette knives, easels, canvas, and how-to-photos. In addition, instructions for completing over a dozen paintings are included in each book.
