Create beautiful projects with these pure metal sheets. Available in 100% pure pewter, copper, brass, aluminum, and colored aluminum (color is one-side only), ArtEmboss can be used to decorate virtually any object or room in your home. A special manufacturing process makes ArtEmboss extremely soft and pliable. A fine point stylus is all that is needed to trace a pattern into the metal.

There are two weights of ArtEmboss metal sheets: light and medium. Light sheets are perfect for intricate detail patterns and decoration of lightweight objects such as greeting cards and gift tags. The medium weight sheets work well on photo albums, picture frames, gift boxes, as well as for a variety of fine art projects.

Product Questions and Answers

I am looking for metal sheets to use in dry embossing folders and a press. Can you tell me which is best for this use?

- Asked by Jan Warren on 23-Feb-14

Our embossing sheets are recommended for use with hand-held embossing tools. Mechanical embossing processes may tear the metal sheet depending on the device. The medium weight may hold up best in the press, but if the design is intricate, it may not capture the detail.

What is the difference between the St. Louis Decorator's Foils and the ArtEmboss Embossing Sheet?

- Asked by Piper on 03-Jan-14

These similar foils are both foldable and pliable. The ArtEmboss offers two weights, light and medium. The ArtEmboss selection is 9 1/4 in. wide, and the St. Louis Crafts foils are 12 in. wide. Each offers a different array of colors.

I want to make labels for each rose bush in my garden. Which weight sheet would you recommend?

- Asked by A. Moore on 21-Dec-13

We recommend the medium-weight (the heavier of the two). Use the light-weight if intending to emboss intricate details.

- Answered by MisterArt on 26-Dec-13

Can you print directly onto these sheets with an inkjet printer?

- Asked by jc on 26-Feb-13

The Embossing Sheets are not suggested for use in a color copier or inkjet printer.

- Answered by MisterArt on 26-Feb-13

Can the light sheets be easily cut into thin strips (1/4 in. wide)?

- Asked by Olwen on 26-Sep-12

Yes, these embossing sheets can be cut easily with scissors or a stencil knife.

Great product. I had to teach a small group how to emboss. The copper metal sheet was easy to work with and did not tear. I was happy with the results.

Really like this product. Nice reusable packaging. I've bought from other sources and once I open product, I have to find another way to store product to avoid damage. This one comes with its own package that can be used time and again.
Rated by: Robert B. in Cave Creek, AZ
This product is excellent. I found that if the material is folded over, color is then on both sides. No need for glue, since when the embossing is done the two sides naturally stay together. I am glad to have taken the time to find this product!
Rated by: Linda C. in Orlando, FL
The metal is very thin and easy to use, but is only suitable for very light projects as a result. The colored varieties can have inconsistent thickness of color, and are therefore not always suitable for advanced projects. It is fine for beginners and scrapbooking.

ArtEmboss is great for the beginning repousse artist - no hammering needed, just scribing and pushing with a round point stylus or wooden clay carving tools (also conveniently available on Mister Art). The medium weight metals are better to work with - the light weights are so thin they can be torn easily by hand (think aluminum foil - that thin and easily torn).

What a great product. I bought several colors and all of them worked wonderful for my projects. Not only can you emboss on them, but also use a shaped punch and create a one of a kind card.

Sheets are very easy to cut. Was hoping that they would stand on their own but not heavy enough. Otherwise - nice quality.
Rated by: Barbara B. in Foresthill, CA
These medium weight embossing metals hold up to heavy embossing and the colors are great! Far superior to other embossing metals I've used. My choice from now on.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received my embossing metal. It was thicker and stronger than the ones I had previously purchased. The uses are almost endless. I am combining the metal with my needle felting. They look great.

Love the color selection, have embossed and pierced designs on this product. Am using it to make embossed detachable ornaments on my Xmas cards this year, Rubber stamps are great also.

I was very pleased with the metal embossing sheets. I actually was not using them for embossing but to make "armor" for a knight doll that my daughter had to make for school. It worked perfectly! I know it is good for embossing too as my daughter used it before. It is easy to cut and bend. We used both the light and medium strength. We highly recommend this product.

I love the sheets. Easy to cut with using regular scissors.Bend, mold or shape into any craft.Shiny and bright colors.

I make cards and had a creation in mind which required copper sheeting. The metal had to be light enough to handle easily, thick enough for strong embossing effects and durable enough to withstand the postal service for mailings. This product is perfect. I couldn't be more pleased and my husband loves the end result. Thank you.

My 9 year old Scout Troop thought these were awesome! The embossing sheets truly enchanced there project and were very user friendly at a very reasonalbe price.

The embossing sheet with embosser produced a clear family crest that I attached to a coil basket to greet reunion attendees. The embossed crests looked very professional and added just the professional polish to the project.

Excellent choice for mixed media projects. Thin enough to be cut with scissors and embossed with a simple stylus, but durable enough to hold engraving. Great colors, nice and shiny surface that won't flake off or discolor. You'll need a strong adhesive to hold down thin points, but regular glue will work for simple shapes.

Excellent product. Great service, delivery and price. Thanks, MisterArt.com.

The product was exactly what we expected it to be. The images that we embossed came out beautiful and the copper adhered to the plaques very good.

In general, I love the ArtEmboss products and have already given a rave review. However, I have a complaint about the violet colored foil. Under the stress of embossing the tint wears off at the high places, showing the natural aluminum color under the tint. None of the other foil colors I've used seems to have this problem.

This stuff is great, and your service was excellent. We used it at a library program where 4th-6th graders embossed drawings on it to make small plaques they wore as necklaces.

I really enjoy using ArtEmboss metals, but I wish they would produce it in larger sheets. Otherwise, it's a great product.

I haven't been able to find Artemboss for awhile locally and was pleasantly surprised to discover it on MisterArt.com's Website in a selection of colors NEVER available locally. In a wild moment, I bought one of each available color and intend to experiment with new looks in the embossed metal I place around the egg-tempera icons I paint. The stuff is easy to work with. You don't REALLY need gloves if you are careful. You can cut it with scissors, assuming you don't plan to use them for sewing purposes later on (although I imagine a tin snip would work better.) It embosses easily and creates lucious effects. When you use certain chemicals on the copper foil, you can get that wonderful green patina.

I had a hard time finding embossing metal but finally I was pleasantly surprised at the assortment you had. I am anxious to use it in my scrapbooking endeavors!! Thanks for the prompt service.

I needed copper sheeting that was easy to cut, bend and be able to solder onto stained glass. ArtEmboss had all of these qualities. It was easy to work with and created the look I was after for a stained glass mask I was working on. The feathers I created with the ArtEmboss look great. I will be purchasing some more of this.

I purchased the ArtEmboss to use with piecings I make and sell. WOW is it easy to use. You don't need any templete or stylist to achive a great look. I use a ball point pen!! It allows you to write (as long as you can do it backwards to show through correctly) and make any freehand design. The only compliant I have is more of a warning. When using the copper, any fingerprints leave discolorations, so use gloves. The light-weight metal is easier to emboss, but also easier to bend or rip. Overall it is a wonderful product that will add a lot of style to any project.

Art Emboss is a wonderful product. I use it for scrapbooking to add unusual and interesting embellishments to my pages. It can be punched, torn or cut and can be antiqued or embossed. Great stuff.

ArtEmboss sheets are an ideal thickness to give a quality look and easy to cut with regular scissors. We embossed on the back using a ball point pen so it was easy to be creative. We created over 100 beautiful copper and gold stars from 2" to 4" across for the ceiling of my son's room.
