I do a lot of work in graphite and could never quite get the darks I needed. Also, there is always the problem with graphite shine. These pencils are wonderful and fill the bill on both counts.

What is the best sharpener to use on these oil-based drawing pencils?

- Asked by Marti on 02-Mar-13

We would suggest using the Little Red All Art Sharpener by General's. This sharpener is ideal for charcoal, pastel, and soft core artist's pencils.

I read about these pencils from a positive Facebook post and decided to try them and I am so glad I did. They write smoothly and it's just another pencil to add to my favorites to give a good line variety.
