This kit combines 2 interesting art techniques - reverse glass painting and an optical effect. Decorate 12 glass domes using acrylic paint on the flat back side. Then flip your miniature art over and see how your designs POP from the special effect of magnification the glass creates. Turn your cool optical art into magnets, pins and tie tacks! Excellent to give as gifts! Kit contains everything you need to create a dozen magnets: assorted flat back glass stones, metallic and acrylic paint, brush, self-adhesive magnet tapes, and instructions.

This craft project went over very well at our recent 7 yr olds birthday-- Ages 4 - 8-- and the moms had fun. I bought more than one kit, extra glass paint, and the glass stones at a local art supply store as the kids all wanted the large glass stones. You can also buy extra tie tacks if needed at a craft store as I'm sure you can find extra magnets. I also downloaded into my microsoft word program pictures from the internet, sized them smaller to fit the stones and then printed them for the kids. Loads of fun.

My 3 1/2 year old boy just loves this art project. In addition to the creativity of painting, he can make the painted item into, yet again, something else creative. These magnents are fun to put all around the house. We have purchased 3 so far. I highly recommend!

Reverse painting is fun and my children like working with kits that use this technique. They are making magnets and tacks out of this kit. They are so cute, I'm going to take some of the tacks to work with me. The Creativity For Kids craft set line is one of the best that I have purchased for my children and I would recommend highly any of the kits they manufacture.
