Compatible Surfaces:
SpectraFix works on a variety of surfaces, including:

  • Paper (excluding LaCarte)
  • Primed/unprimed canvas
  • Wood, ceramic, stone, leather, glass, and more.

Ideal for Multiple Media! Use with:

  • Pastels: Soft, Pan, and Oil Pastels
  • Drawing Media: Colored Pencil, Graphite, Charcoal, Chalk
  • Mixed Media: Watercolor, Gouache, Casein, Ink, and Encaustic
  • Under Oil & Acrylics: Prevents underdrawing smudges and bonds permanently with oil layers, similar to egg tempera – ideal for grisaille or underpainting.

Usage Notes:

  • Not recommended as a final top coat for acrylic or oil paints; however, it can be layered in multimedia pieces and later sealed with acrylic or oil varnish.
