Liquid Metals Acrylic Paint

by Sargent Art

Liquid Metals are acid-free, metallic acrylic paints with super coverage and durability. They’re perfect for artists, hobbyists, and sign painters.

The paints can be thinned and cleaned with water when wet. Upon drying, however, the acrylics are permanent and water-resistant. The paints can be used on wood, plastic, glass, and more.

The paints come in 4-ounce (119 ml) clear jars with convenient wide mouths for easy access to the paint. Liquid Metals are great for signs, murals, sculptures, stage designs, and small scale projects.

Product Questions and Answers

Can these be used on ceramic?

- Asked by Rita Stern on 15-Apr-14

Acrylics may be applied to bisqueware. Bisqueware is still porous. If desired, a primer such as Liquitex Gesso may be helpful to avoid having to apply a lot of paint. Acrylics cannot be glaze fired. A ceramic sealer may be applied to achieve a gloss or matte finish and help protect the acrylic paint. Do not glaze fire.

This paint works well on metal. I love the colors and end results. I got an A on all welding projects! Thanks for the replacement bottle that broke during shipment. Good service. I shall come back for more paints. Best regards, Joan C. Blackwell, Proud Army Mom, Lumbee and Art Education student:)

I tried using this product on glass. I let the paint dry for 48 hour and washed the mug I put it on and it washed off. I have tired finding instructions on how to properly use the product on glass, but have come up empty handed. This product is not permanent.

I paint statues for outdoors and this paint is great. It maintains its metallic integrity, goes on smoothly, and usually only needs one coat. Would highly recommend!
