Finest quality artists' linseed oil modified to mix freely with water. Improves flow and increases gloss of oil paints, and enhances the water mixability of Max Water Miscible Oil Colors. Compatible with conventional oil paints and mediums, but will not make them water mixable. Does not significantly alter drying time. Cleans up with soap and water.

Wonderful product, I am alergic to regular linseed oil. The new max products seem to be far more versatile than the regular oil paints. I can lay a permanent, transparent wash of max, then use regular water color over the top. The linseed oil gives max the feel of regular oil paints with the luster of oils.

NOW that i understand how to use this product with the grumbacher max paints, i am becoming quite fond of it! the trick is to only use a drop or two when mixing with the max paints. you can achieve delicate washes by adding more water to the mixed max linseed oil and max paint.
