Maximum performance with Max II oil colors..mixes well, goes on smoothly, and dries quickly to a nice glossy shine, this product does everything it's supposed to.

This quick dry medium is great for anyone using water-mixable oils. I've used it with both Grumbacher Max and Winsor&Newton Artisan colors and it works nicely on both. The paintings are thinned with a nice shine and color remains bright. Combined with Max Linseed oil or Artisan's Painting Medium you can choose how fast you want it to dry. If used alone your painting will be dry to touch by the next morning. It is much better than Windsor$Newton's Artisan Quick Dry Medium, which I've found dries too fast ,is too tacky and is cumbersome in general.
