Oh come on, we all know Crayolas, don't we? Those things we used as kids. But y'know what? Kids are on to something great here. I don't know why I waited so long to buy myself a box, but since I did, I've been using them almost every day and in lots of different ways. I use them in my art, in my sketchbooks and in the artist's journal I'm constructing. The colors are great, and the waxy quality is so pronounced that they're even better than oil pastels for resist work. Use on soft, handmade paper for great effect, richness of color and the best hand feel of any media combination I've tried lately. Highly recommended if you want to rediscover your sense of play, too.
