This adhesive works great. It keeps the stencil in position and there is no sticky mess. It greatly reduces paint bleeding under the stencil because it forms a nice tight seal. It also easily lifts when you are finished. The only negative is that you need a lot of it and if you are using a lettering stencil, you really need to apply the adhesive especially on the corners and inside of the letters if they are script, as mine are. The adhesive is somewhat tough to get off completely, but they are reusable.
