Excellent pens for touching up film separations and vellums. Opaque blacks due to the India ink.

I have bought the brush tip black pens. I really like them. You can make them thick or thin lines. I usually sign my name, the date and the name of the art I have made. Sometimes I make lines on the art, but usually for signing. But when I am making a drawing I'll outline with the pens as well. I like the brush tip a lot. I would recommend these. Great pens!

These are wonderful pens, rich and dense. Work great for quick reference sketches as well as more detailed work.

These pens are great for writting, drawing, and journaling. I want one in every color.

Very nice pens for detail and small areas that a brush doesn't define as well. Fine point is excellent.

Outstanding pens! Rich black. I especially love the brush pen which gives a beautiful calligraphic line and is completely compatible with the Chartpak markers, a perfect match. No smearing!

Great pens. Good feel and good ink flow. My only complaint is that the sepia ink isn't sepia-ish enough for me. It's a bit too dark and comes off almost as a diluted black rather than a nice sepia color. The black pens look really black and nice, though. Regardless, these pens feel great!

VEry sweet pens, the black is especially dense and the brush behaves very much like traditional Sumi-e brushes I've used.

The superfine tip is my fave for all my illustrated journals. I use them alone or with watercolor. My pen of choice!

There's a 'secret' about these that's little known. When they run out of ink, don't throw them out. Take some rapidograph ink, pull the end-cap off the pen, and deliver 6-8 drops of ink into the end of the cylindrical 'sponge' inside the barrell of the pen. It'll work like new. If the ink begins to dry up inside the sponge and the flow isn't good, take off the end-cap and deliver 2-3 drops of ordinary household window cleaner. It loosens the ink back up without greying it out. If you're not too rough with applying pressure while using them, you can get a year's steady use out of them before the tip finally 'dies'.

The Faber-Castell PITT artist pen is an ultimate ink sketching tool. These are exceptional pens, period. The finer tips are great for detail and crosshatching but are surprisingly great for quicker, more fluid gesture drawings. With a range from S, F, M, B - there is sure to be a pen for any artist. My personal favorite is the (F) Fine tip - which handled properly can be efficent in both detailed illustration and broad, loose sketches. Obviously the great thing about working in pen is that u can continually draw with your medium, never having to stop. These are exciting pens to use, and create some great results. These are the only drawing pens I use.

Excellent for occasional detail on my watercolors. The brush tip has just enough flexibility to suit my style. Good value for the money, and a reasonable color range.

The ultimate pen, though it takes some getting used to.

The Faber-Castell Pitt Artists' Pens are very handy for studio work. As a tool for cranking out drawings on the job live, they run dry too fast. I love the fact that they contain india ink.

Another great product for professional and aspiring cartoonists. Easier to control than a real brush, with the same results. So if you need to learn brushwork, this is a great practice tool, if you've mastered it, this cuts done on a lot of prep and clean up time.

The brush tip is indeed something special. The ink does not bleed through regular paper and provided a deep black. Excellent for gesture sketching... provides an elegant, flowing line.

This is the mainstay of my studio. The brush tip is my favorite in any color. The finer tips could last a bit longer. But are still grwat quality.

These are excellent pens. My only critique is that for the finer detail work, I only get about four hours use out of it before the tip breaks up slightly. The ink flow is also at its heaviest and most consistent during the first four to six hours (naturally depending how you use it). For heavy linework they are probably not optimal but if I could buy them in bulk I would be in business.

I really like these pens for writing the names & dates on photos that I am storing in archival albums.
