This range of mediums was developed specifically for use with Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colours. With these mediums, the characteristics of water mixable oil colors can be altered and all traditional oil color techniques can be achieved.

Fast Drying Medium improves the flow and speeds the drying time of Artisan colours, smoothes brushwork and increases transparency. It’s excellent for glazing and producing fine detail and is also resistant to yellowing.

Linseed Oil reduces consistency and improves the flow of Artisan colours. It also increases gloss and transparency.

Stand Oil improves the flow and leveling of Artisan colours. It smoothes brushwork, making it excellent for glazing and fine detail, and it is slow drying.

Oil Painting Medium thins the consistency of Artisan colours for fine detail work and improves the flow and wetting. It dries slowly to a flexible film and is good for oiling out and enrichingdull patches.

Impasto Medium adds texture to Artisan oil colours and speeds their drying time, allowing impasto and knife techniques.

Thinner dilutes Artisan oil colour. It evaporates more slowly than water, with increased viscosity. To avoid over-thinning of colour use in conjunction with any Artisan medium.
