Oil painting medium and solvent for cleaning brushes. Traditional artist thinner for oil color, oils, and varnishes. Improves flow, dissolves wet color easily, evaporates rapidly. Add directly to color or mediums for thinning. Soak brushes well to remove color.

Perfectly fine for use as a component of my painting medium, and for a solvent. I will try it as a base for dissolving Damar crystals next. I am expecting good success.

This is a great product to use as a solvent for my oil paints and also for brush clean-up. HOWEVER, the packaging for the larger amount leaves much to be desired... when pouring it, it spills everywhere, not a good thing when it comes to turpentine. In the end, I'll probably lose 1/4 to 1/3 of the container after mopping it up. In the future, I'll have to purchase the smaller size which is much easier to pour into my pallete cup. Recommend manufacturer re-think its packaging techniques.
