Do these colors need to be glazed and can they be applied on metal?

These are recommended for decorative ceramics and glazing is not required. Try Vitrail Paints which are also air-dry and specify metal surface compatibility.

Can these Ceramic Air Dry China Paint be used on glass light shades?

The Pebeo Ceramic Air Dry China Paints are not recommended for use on glass surfaces or light fixtures. Try Vitrea 160 Glass Paint.

i used to paint on matted finished regular teacups. It is a lovely bright color finish. It can be scratched off, though. I did not fire them. I don't know if this is why.
