Product Questions and Answers

What is the best ink to use on celluloid (cells) for animation type work, the 3085F or the 3084F?

- Asked by Jamey on 20-Feb-14
Answer

We recommend 3084-F as it is quick drying and better for film. The 3085-F dries slower and works well on paper. The Universal Drawing ink, 3080-F is designed for both paper and film.

What is the best ink to use in a calligraphy pen?

- Asked by David Dupont on 14-Feb-13
Answer

Typically you want to use an ink that is made by the same manufacturer of the calligraphy pen you are using.

I've used Koh-i-noor inks for many years and the high quality has not changed. I appreciate its non-clogging properties especially when I use my 3-ought or smaller pens.

Had been looking for a long time for the right size in dispenser for my pens. So easy to fill the cartridge. Price was really cheap, but postage a bit high for shipment so light. Mister Art has the best prices that I have found.

Best all around ink for use with tech pens. Does not clog the really fine points. Use it daily. Love it.

Happy to have it! very good price!
Rated by: Eric S. in Valdosta, GA
I use my technical pens for outline my drawing or writing my messages, and I like the vibrant colors of the KOH-I-NOOR Inks. They do go through normal paper, but you'll have no problems with quality paper.
Rated by: Erin G. in Angwin, CA
The ink i got is waterproof which is great because it rains alot here, and so i can get the ink wet and it doesn't smear. I use it for my technical pens and i like the way the ink goes onto the paper or board.
Rated by: Catherine K. in Heathsville, VA
I love these inks because I am only able to pick up my drawing pens from time to time and they are never dried up or clogged. I'm much happier drawing than cleaning.
