Cray-Pas Expressionist Oil Pastels are formulated with extra-fine quality pigments, waxes, and oils. They are perfect for very smooth drawing and can create a wide range of effects, from bold, intense strokes to subtle shading.

Expressionist Oil Pastels offer bright, vivid colors suitable for many surfaces, including paper, board, canvas, and wood.

The sticks are round, 2 3/4 in. x 7/16 in. (70 mm x 11 mm), with paper sleeves. The pastels are non-toxic, and conform to ASTM D 4236.

I bought these so my son could have a feel for something different from crayons. He loves the way they glide over the paper and the vibrant colors they produce. An excellent product and very affordable.

Ya know, I have probably tried 10 different brands of oil pastels, ranging from $3 to $400 a set. I continue to go back to buying the cray pas. The quality is just there. It blends nicely with my really expensive stuff and the colors are very nice too. It blends extremely well. This is a nice pastel for both children and professional artists!
