Pelikan has the best ink products out there. The cartridge ink is very dense and well-pigmented. Whenever we get new fountain or calligraphy pens in our home or studio, we immediately toss out the cartridges that come with them and head for the Pelikan 4001 cartridges to replace them...:-) Pelikan's cartridges are made in the standard international shape and fit most other pens with few exceptions. We would be absolutely lost without Pelikan ink and ink cartridges.
