This EV-R-Round Circle Cutter is an awesome product. My husband was cutting circles of cork for coasters by hand and they didn't come out really round. Enter the Circle Cutter - perfect circles. Very easy to use and well made. He loves this product!! Wish he would have purchased a long time ago!!

I used this cutter and the extension beam to cut foamcore board. The cuts were clean as long as I adjusted the blade depth -- starting with just the tip of the blade. It took 3 passes, adjusting deeper each time, but the results were great.

As I want to cut cake boards up to 16" this was essential and really works well. Be sure to buy the box of blades as you will need them!

Great product-finally have a product that will cut my cake rounds for me! Only wish it came with directions in English as there was a little learning curve involved...

I Love this gizmo! I bought this to cut different size circles in 3 to 8 oz. leather. The LION EV-R-Round Circle Cutter does what it says it will. It is easy to use and works perfectly every time, just like you want it to...

This product is almost perfect with one exception. Where the metal nut screws down to hold the adjustable cutting beam in place. The tightening nut in metal the threaded screw part is plastic! Over time expect the plastic to break off right at the base. It strikes me that this is a bult in design flaw to sell more product. If one is aware of this and careful you can get a resasonable amount of use out of it. It works very well for cutting circles in matte board, which is about as thick as I would recommend going. Corregated cardboard is also easy if you cut the top then turn it over and line up the pilot hole and cut the bottom. Buy the extra blades too the tips break off very quickly and then the blade is not nearly as efficient.

This is the most excellent and accurate circle cutter I found. I've used it through 3-5 stacked paper (with foot) as well as foam board (with pin). I'd like to cut 10 sheets of paper at once with no center-hole, but haven't solved that yet. The blades are inexpensive and very sharp (and small) needing careful handling, so it not for children. Improvements to the product would include a better view of the diameter ruler for repeatability (I now use digital calipers) and changable feet (plastic, rubber, felt, sandpaper, etc) for least slippage on different materials. Finally, some method to lower the blade progressively as one spins through thick material would be terrific!

Most of the reviewers on here have cut things that lie flat easily--leather, mat board, photo paper, transparencies. But what about fabric? Well I've been working with it for an hour now (and a previous reviewer was right, you do need practice to get this going) and have figured some things out. Under no circumstances does this cutter work with knits. That's ok. To cut fabric, you have to staple the edges of the fabric to a piece of cardboard, set the blade to max depth, and ensure that the fabric is pulled taut. If it is loosey goosey it'll just wibble-wobble as you're cutting or get jammed up in the cutter. Not fun. That said, it is so hard to use with fabric that I am inclined to recommend the Olfa rotary circle cutter for fabric purposes. I thought this would surmount the difficulties, but didn't.

Worked great for cutting leather circles! And I adapted it to do belt ends and various semi-circles also. A very versatile tool, and better than the others since it has a foot pad instead of making a hole in the center of my circles (definitely not wanted for leather work!).

I used it to cut 300 circles for a project on a friend's wedding. I had to cut them out of picture matting. It worked really well, but I had to spin the tool several times to get a clean cut all the way through that thick material. Also, the measurement tended to adjust just a little bit as I went through the circles, and I had to re-adjust every few circles, but all in all I was really pleased with the performance. It was the only thing I'd found to accomplish that task in such a short time.

I needed to cut out pre-printed 2"stickers. I tried using another brand of circle cutter, but Lion cutter was easier to use and worked so much better that I'll never use anything else!

I use the EV-R with the extension arm to cut 7" and 8" clock faces out of heavy (35lbs) paper, and it's the best tool I've found. I need absolute precision and a perfectly clean cut. The only trick I use is to lightly tape down 2 of the paper edges prior to cutting, and I always cut on a wood (cutting board) as the backing - works much better than a cutting sheet.

The LION EV-R-Round Circle Cutter did cut perfect circles, but I found it to be clumsy, & it took some practice to use it correctly.

It has been great for our purposes. I cut discs from scrap linoleum to put under some of our furniture. Protects the floor and almost disappears from view!. My wife has used it to cut out circles for gift labels. I think the instructions could be better.

This is the best circle cutter on the market for my needs - cutting photo paper circles. Also extra box of blades is a big help. Although this blades are the best for thick photo paper, they happen to be the cheapest compared to other cutters.
Rated by: Rebecca S. in albany, CA
This is the best circle cutter there is! It cuts multiple sheets of paper at once (crucial for my needs), works consistently, is sturdy for billions of uses, flexible for sizes, and hasn't given me any problems. Highly recommended over fiskars and other brands of circle cutters.
Rated by: Roger V. in Boston, MA
Highly recommended. I use it to cut tranparency films, and I bought it to replace the Fiskars circle cutter, which wasn't doing the job. The Fiskars went dull very quickly and had expensive refills. This cutter, along with the inexpensive 40ct refill pack, is a good deal. Center post can be soft pad or compass-type point, so it's the only circle cutter you need.

Unfortunately this product did not work for the purpose I was intending. I was attempting to cut corragated cardboard and since the description said that it cuts upto 1/4" thickness and works on materials such as leather I thought it was worth a try but I was unsuccessful.
Rated by: alex b. in New York, NY
This is an excellent gadget. Just remember to use it on a hard, flat surface and to adjust the blade depth to whatever thickness of material you're using. The blade is tiny so be careful.
