When you need a white that’s truly opaque, Original Permalba White is the oil color for you. Permalba White contains an exclusive blend of titanium and other pigments that give it great covering power and make it one of the most opaque whites available.

Original Permalba White is acid and alkali resistant, and it won’t yellow with age. It has a smooth, buttery consistency that dries to an elastic film with no tendency to crack.

Original Permalba White has been the superior choice for artists since 1921.

Product Questions and Answers

How does Permalba white compare to titanium white and zinc white?

- Asked by Elaine Echels on 14-Dec-12
Answer

The Original Permalba White Oil Color by Martin / F. Weber is higher in pigment and will give more of an opaque coverage. Most white paints are transparent and need to be reapplied to achieve an opaque look. The Permalba White is the most opaque of whites available.

I have used Permalba white for many years, But my last tube was a disaster. The seam at the bottom failed, so I did not have a tube I could seal. White went everywhere, as I tried to use a nearly full tube. In contacting Misterart. I was advised that there is only a 30-day return period. I was just out of luck because it was at least 5 months old. It was disturbing as the problem was in its manufacture.

This white stays white! Unlike other brands that degrade and yellow over time, this is keeps the color and will not crack. Use other brands for other colors if you want to, but use this brand for the best WHITE possible.
