Now you have the control you’ve always wanted to bring your ideas to life in ways you once thought impossible. Use Fineline Applicators to make a continuous line of liquid frisket and see what new creative worlds open for you.

Draw straight lines or curves, thick or thin lines, small dots, stamens, snowflakes, and flowers with no mess no waste. The pale blue water-based latex solution is easy to see and apply. It peels off easily and does not damage the paper. It can also be used both under layers and on top of inks, watercolors, and acrylic washes.

The stainless steel prong in the cap seals the 0.8 mm. nylon nib so the fluid won’t dry out. Fineline Masking Fluid comes in a lightweight 1.25 oz. non-breakable bottle – it goes anywhere you want to go.

Also Available:

1.25 oz. Refills of the Fineline Masking Fluid. Just switch tops and keep working.
Supernib, an official Fineline attachment. It’s an ultra fine 0.5 mm. stainless steel nib that makes continuous, spider web thin, lines.
Small Set, which contains two bottles of masking fluid, one with the 0.5 mm. supernib, and one with the 0.8 mm nib.
Large Set, which contains three bottles of masking fluid, one with the 0.5 mm. supernib, one with the 0.8 mm nib, and one refill.

Word of advice: GET the Supernib! If you want FINE lines, you will need the supernib because the regular applicator gives a fairly thick line, similar to that of a marker.

I was extremely disappointed in this product. I would hardly define the line it draws as "spider web thin". The fluid flows way to fast from the tip and it's easier to draw a thin line with a brush or even a toothpick. I will not buy this product again and would not recommend it to anyone.

I ordered the large set at the same time I ordered a couple of ruling pens. I like the fluidity of this masking fluid for use with the ruling pen. I did not use the nibs, just dipped the ruling pen into the fluid and it worked great. It is thinner than many other masking fluid brands and I like that. I am in the middle of using the masking fluid for a painting of my cat and it works great for showing the extreme highlights on his fur. Plus, I left it on for a week and it removed easily with no damage to the paper (300 lb. Arches). I will be ordering more of the refills. I plan to try it for masking in my porcelain painting, too. From one comment about it not standing up to acrylics and enamel, I'm not sure how it will hold up with the oil-based china paint, but I found that it removes pretty easily using a pick. With the china paint still wet before firing, you can't just rub it off like you can with watercolor. Another great MisterArt product!

Good product, with an accurate description. This product works on watercolors, but most acrylics and enamels foil the adhesion.

This is a very useful product, for the most part. I had pleasing results and it was so nice to have a very fine point , the supernib. The fluid stays pretty much where you want it. If you purchase it though, please leave the pin in the supernib when not in use. I learned the hard way that if you don't, the nib wil be ruined. Another drawback is that cleaning the supernib is a hassle and also wastes the fluid. In spite of this, I still like the product and will re-order at some point.

I find this product to be truly innovated and very welcomed! Paper damage problem solved. Thanks for the opportunity for a wonderful product and a webstore of the highest quality!
