When the surface of the painting is dry to the touch, one very light coat of retouch may be applied to it for protection against excessive dust. Allow 5 minutes between coats, if heavier applications are desired.- Answered by MisterArt on 23-May-13

Retouch varnish is suggested for use while the paint is still wet. This product will not work if the paint is fully dry. But yes, you can go back on a wet painting to paint again.- Answered by MisterArt on 15-Jan-13
