The 1980 Oil Colors provide an affordable approach to oil paints while still maintaining quality performance. Instead of adding waxes, gels, or fillers to cut costs, Gamblin stands by a traditional approach of utilizing pure pigments, refined linseed oil, and marble dust (calcium carbonate) - a long standing formula that has weathered the test of time.
