These tools are great. I use the firm ones for sculpting with polymer clay and the soft ones for shaping precious metal clay.

These run big. Size 6 is similar to size 12-14 of watercolor brushes. I also have the size two flat chisel. (it is about a size 4 in watercolor brushes. ) I LOVE IT. I am going to get all of the size 2. So many applications. I will use for Watercoloring , calligraphy and Oil pastels. Great quality, decent price.

Purchased the size 0 cup round Extra Firm. Works well for epoxy putty sculpting not quite as usefull as the Flat Chisel style; just wish they made a sixe 0 Extra Firm Flat chisel.

I'm an amateur artist in my spare time. Mostly I do cartooning and have recently gotten into using pen and ink for my drawings. I was hoping the color shapers would be like a Japanese brush pen and give me different types of lines I could use in my comics. I found the lines to be way too bold. The rubber tips don't hold ink at all. they're great tools, but I will probably use them for blending more than for drawing.

My only regret is that I didn't buy these sooner. I am impressed by the versatility, ease of use, durability and fast clean-up of all the color shapers that I purchased. I had not used this type of tool before and didn't want to spend a fortune on something that might not suit my style. It was money well spent.

The angle shaping tool is a must for both myself and my students. I use it for removing "oops" in both oils and acrylics.

I use the shaper tools all the time for china painting. I also encourage all my students to buy at least one of them.
