These glue sticks are as described and of personal high utility. When these sticks are melted in a glue pot and then applied to the 'inside surface' of rather thin copper or other metal tooling foil, and then forming the foil into a sculptural component or a single piece form while the glue is still molten, it serves to strengthen the entire project 'skin' and maintain the integrity of the form you wish to preserve. Difficult 'bends' or 'joints' in the piece that will be subject to heightened stress by virtue of their shape or presentation posturing, may then be further reinforced by the addition of thin wooden rods or thin flat wood stock cut into appropriate shapes and lengths, then applied to the dubious stress point by using a glue gun, or soldering iron for more intricate and small areas, and temporarily melting the glue backing in the areas to be reinforced, and simply applying the support material to the now molten glue layer. This glue was most effective in producing a stylized representative sculpture of a DNA strand rendered in copper, silver and brass tooling foil., allowing enough strength to the structure for it to remain an extended and structurally unbalanced but free standing form. While these glue sticks have high utility in these various alternate applications, i would stress that any completed piece be displayed only indoors, as radical fluctuations in temperature will make the 'sizing' glue layers quite brittle and ultimately they will fail, when out of doors in an area that has a wide weather fluctuation. Indoors, in a climate controlled environment the piece will survive ad infinitum, barring catastrophic accident or terrific abuse..
