I now have a good selection of both Pickett and Rapidesign lettering guides. Both USA made, these guides are simlar in qualtity and construction. I give a slight edge to the Rapidesign guides. The green color is more pleasing than Pickett's tan, and the "auto spacing" marks on the some of the Rapidesign guides come in handy. The Pickett guides are a bit more suited to inking and they have "dimples" to rais the template slightly off the paper. For pencil use (I use .5mm automatic pencils like the Rapidomatic) I think I'd favor the Rapidesign.
