Is a Monarch brush suitable for applying Liquitex pouring medium without showing brush marks?

- Asked by Susan Sennett on 02-Feb-14
Answer

Liquitex Pouring Medium has a thick viscosity that will show brush marks. By pouring the medium, the liquid applies without any visible seams. These brushes will likely leave marks.

Superior quality brushes. These brushes are strong enough, have good stiffness and provide good spring. They are excellent for fine work.

I tried 4 types of brushes. These were the only ones I liked. They are extremely firm, strong, resilient and versatile. They hold up to acrylic paint extremely well, which is quite a challenge. I bought a whole set in varying sizes (0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14), which gave me extra command and control of painting. I bought 2 or 3 of the smallest ones for detail work.

Excellent brush. Holds it shape better than any other brush I have ever used. Its stiffer than a sable but not as stiff as a bristle. It maintains its shape superbly, never a hair out of place. My only complaint is these brushes are not available in larger ie 1" - 3" sizes. If it were I would buy them all.
