I absolutely love this product. I use rust patinas in much of my artwork, and the iron surfacer paint allows me to be flexible about which materials and surfaces on which I can achieve the rust finish. I always get great natural results......this product will not disappoint!

Can't get enough of this product...I wish it came in the gallon size!! It does what is says....patina in minutes. I just love the metallic paint colors, I use them without the solutions.

These yield very professional results. Bare concrete can be finished with these to look like a true bronze metal casting. For exterior use on concrete, prime first with a concrete primer or surfacer will be sucked into the concrete (requiring 2-3x more paint). If you won't be adding a patina or rust finish these also can be mixed with other acrylic paints for more color variety. A+++ Highly enjoyed and impresses all who see!

I ordered the Iron surfacer and i was really impressed with the way that it coated and looked just like iron. if using this i would recomend using a sponge brush and dabbing on the surfacer. also when using the rust make sure that you test it on a surface similar to what you will be doing for your final job. DO NOT practice on youru final piece! other than that it works just as described!

MODERN OPTIONS Metallic Surfacers give me exactly what i'm looking for in the surface textures of my art. I create works with found objects (but hen a piece does't refelct exactly what i'm looking for , i mold it with MODERN OPTIONS Metallic Surfacers to my deisred taste)

I used this product to paint a body cast made of plaster of paris. It was awesome! The client was thrilled at the results. Looked just like aged bronze, the finish was incredible. Good stuff!

started using these on a whim. boy am i impressed with the results. you can get so many metalic color variations by combining and second and third coating with these. if you like saggar and other wood fired pottery finishes, try these. I recommend first coating with the iron and then using the different solutions and metal finishes over that. you can turn plastic pots into masterpieces. just remember to follow the instructions.

The Blackened Bronze is amazing. I used it on a cheap figurine and it looks like a work of art. Lovely rich heavy look finish.

We used the blakened bronze to repair the finish on an antique Chinese terra cotta scupture. It work great--the best part was that it really has a muti-level hue--it is not a mono-dimensional color. It really has the depth of a real dark bronze. However, I tried to use the green broze and blond bronze to give the back black bronze a bit of highlight. Eventually it worked fine, but you really have to work with a dry brush technique and go quickly. It drys on very quickly. I eventually had to back over areas with a dry brush with the black bronze again. I wish there had been instructions on how to thin the colors back to use them as high lights. Maybe there was a special glazing compound I should have bought. But none of thise suggestions were in the website.
