For my money there is not a better product for coating and preserving canvas or fine art paper giclee type reproductions...Dye or pigment ink it doesn't matter... I have tested this Krylon against several of the $100 a gallon water based so called preservative products and the Krylon excels everytime...Both for water and sun protection where I leave the prints outside day and night for more than a week...As I said the Krylon always shows NO smearing and the least amount of fading...Yes there is some fading with dye inks but my test is under VERY severe conditions so that I feel comfortable with the product I sell... I kind of stumbled on the Krylon a few years ago since no canvas manufacturer actually recommends it...Probably because it is a little smelly but that's what acrylic laquer is...You want the max protection, sometimes you gotta accept a few negatives... My only worry is that Krylon stops making it for some odd reason...If we all spread the word and keep buying that surely won't happen...

Not a great product if you plan to have print / banner exposed to temperatures below 30 degrees. Product coating ghosts or gains a chalky appearance.

This Krylon was perfect for my project.Had to coat painted plastic out in the sun. Krylon was protection, good seal, dried quick, enhanced colors, very easy to apply, great stuff!

Nice product to finish other supports for watercolor! Gives a nice mildly glossy shine that looks great! Follow directly careful to get an A1 result.

Provides a nice glossy protective coating to inkjet prints. I am hoping it will prevent fading of prints displayed in sunny locations, but my testing is not complete yet. Smells pretty bad when spraying and is highly flammable, so be careful and use a respirator. MisterArt.com delivered it exactly as advertised.

This varnish spray goes on smoothly and dries quickly. The gloss finish is even and glossy - makes my acrylics sparkle!

In a fading contest against the sun, bet on the sun! Other than that, this Krylon product does exactly as it claims.
