I do not know how I lived without this tool. No doo-dah. I purchased two of the Beadalon Split Ring Pliers. One for myself and one for a friend. I use them more when doing bead work than the needle nose pliers. I use them to open the rings to connect beads for necklaces, bracelets, ear-rings and uh, you know, making jewelry. They are great for opening key rings too. One of the best features is the non slip handle design. I noticed right away how much more efficiently they worked than some of the other pliers. Great product. If I ever misplace mine I will right back to get a replacement pair! Great product - Thanks.
