The close, tight homogenous grain structure makes these basswood blocks ideal for a wide variety of hobby, craft, and miniature projects. A favorite for carving. Basswood may be stained to represent any wood type or painted. Very versatile wood accurately sized. Thinner basswood may be cut with a hobby knife; thicker basswood may require a saw.

Wonderful...won first place at state fair with a eagle holding a trout..Need longer and wider pieces..12 inches is not long enough..and wider would be great..now glueing pieces together..
