Ranger Distress Inks are a collection of twenty-four acid-free, non-toxic, fade resistant, water-based dye inks. They’re perfect for the new vintage, stained, aged effect crafters are creating in their altered books, scrapbook pages, cards, and paper craft projects.

These inks produce a realistic, weathered look on paper, photos, and decorative fibers. All the colorful Distress Inks afford added versatility when photo tinting and color layering.

Inked pads measure 2 in. x 2 in. and are made with a higher raised felt for easier use with direct to paper techniques.

Reinker bottles of each color are also available. The bottles are 1/2 oz. (15 ml) and have eye drop applicator caps.

These are not your normal ink pads. Until I took a class from Tim Holtz, I just assumed they were like all the others. Use the reinkers with the little spray bottles that are sold by Ranger...one drop ink to the amount of water the little bottles hold...you can do all kinds of great techniques with them. Look through Tim Holtz distressing books/CDs to get ideas.

I LOVE this product. With a small amount of effort you can achieve some really interesting, impressive results. These inks can be used for distressing, antiquing or just stamping. Its a high quality, fun item to use. My only problem with these inks is that I am now addicted and I MUST own them all.

Well when I first tried these, I was not impressed. However, after trying them again, I was hooked. I distress anything and everything :D great alone, but even better with the Tim Holtz (ranger) blender tool

I love these colors--they are quite different from all other brands I've tried because they vary from the usual red, yellow, green, blue, etc. Also, the pad surface seems to have a bit of texture which comes through when I use the pad itself as a stamp to apply ink directly to paper.

Ranger has created a fabulous line of inks so that you can work in several mediums and still maintain color coordination--each ink playing its own role in your creativity! I wouldn't think of edging my cards with any other distressing ink.

These inks are wonderful, they blend very well, allow you to add great effects when combined with water. These inks also can be used to add bits of color to black and white photo copies. The colors are slightly muted and warm, and yet they have really intense color. All the colors work well together as well. While I have many types of inks, I find myself using these more often.
