I'm using Sumi to ink comics and illustrations. This is the only ink I've found that will not smear or bleed under the pressure of markers, or watercolors. It goes on black and smooth. I doubt I'd like any other ink as much.

Excellent liquid ink for sumi-E painting. Rich black, nice handling characteristics. Does not bleed when image is wet-mounted. Great quality and value.

This is a pretty good ink for calligraphy and painting. I especially like the fact that it doesn't have a strong smell like some other ink I had used before.
