Lots of great colors for the money! Works well with mixed media projects. Resists watercolor paint well.

From over 12 years using oil pastel as a medium, I find myself going back to Pentel's pastel time and again. Simply because the colors are brilliant, and helps me complete my art better than any other.

We have used Pentel oil pastels in our flannel background business for many years. A great product for coloring flannel backgrounds. We recommend and sell them to our customers at www.wdbydana.com. MisterArt.com has a good price and quick shipping.

I have tried many brands of oil pastels, but I always return to Pentel for the creamy opacity and rich color they provide. Many other brands are weak in pigment or waxy in texture...these are much more satisfying to use - they feel better in the hand and look better on the canvas.

These pastels are great to use to add a subtle color to stamped images on my cards and scrapbook pages.
