Some of the colors that I ordered do not have the metal cap on the end. This may not seem like a problem - but it prevents my elementary students from sharpening both ends - which is wasteful. Also even though I bought the pencils by the box they were labeled for individual purchase. The adhesive on the label is difficult to remove and gums up the pencil sharpener. I use these pencils to teach the students to categorize (underline) the different aspects of what they are studying. The pencils do not bleed through the pages and the lead is soft enough to not require using a lot of pressure on the pages.

The 0748 red/blue pencils are the best we've ever used. Lead is not too hard, makes a clean mark without leaving an indentation on the page. The only thing we didn't like is the individual bar code label on each pencil, which take some work to remove. Otherwise, fabulous!

I have looked long and hard for "Pumpkin Orange" Verithins - this is the only place I found them. Pumpkin Orange is essential for the "underpainting" of my highly detailed botanical art.
