How can I change my email address?

To change the email address that you use to log into Your Account, first log in, and then click on the tab for "Account Information." There, you can change both the email address and password that is associated with your account.

If you don't have an Account and would like to change the email address where you receive our promotional messages, please unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of one of our emails and subscribe with a different email address using the Sign-Up link on our homepage.

What if I forgot my password?

If you already have an account on MisterArt.com but have forgotten your password, select My Account located near the top right of the website. Beneath the "I have an account" box, you will see the words "Forgot Password." Click to enter your e-mail address. Your password will be e-mailed to you at the address you provided.

How can I get the product I want if it's out of stock?

MisterArt.com is unable to accept orders for products that are out of stock. If you wish to purchase an item that is currently out of stock, you may click on the "Email when In Stock" link in the Quantity column of the line item on the appropriate product page. Then enter your email address, and we will notify you as soon as the item returns to our warehouse. Because items are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, this notification does not guarantee availability or price. We always strive to accurately maintain our inventory, and to get products back in stock as quickly as possible for our customers.

How can I find my gift certificate balance?

You can check the balance of your gift certificate by visiting our Gift Certificate page. You will be asked for your gift certificate number. This number was included in the e-mailed gift certificate you received.

What payment options do you accept?

MisterArt.com accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as well as money orders and bank-cleared checks. We also accept PayPal payments using existing PayPal balances, bank drafts, and credit cards.

At checkout, you will be presented with these payment options. Select the option you'd prefer, then complete your order. If you've chosen to mail in a check or money order or to fax in your credit card information, you'll be provided with specific instructions on how to submit your payment at that time.

MisterArt.com also accepts purchase orders from corporate and school customers with approved accounts.

How can I change or cancel my order?

Once you submit your order, our warehouse team begins processing your shipment. We are very limited in our ability to make changes once your order is placed. For a window of about 15 minutes, however, you can cancel your order by logging into Your Account, viewing Order History, selecting your most recent order and canceling. During this window, you may also call our customer service team to request an order cancellation and to place a different order. Our representatives can be reached by calling 1-800-721-3015 from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST. We will always do our best to accommodate your needs, but the speed of our order processing team can make this difficult!

Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?

We do ship to APO/FPO and post office box addresses. APO/FPO delivery times may vary significantly. Some restrictions apply based on value and weight of order. Unfortunately, we cannot ship items marked No-Fly, Freight, or Factory Direct to APO/FPO and P.O. Box addresses.

Guidelines to Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Shipping deadlines based on estimated time in transit provided by shipping carriers. MisterArt.com is not responsible for delays in carrier delivery. Our ship times include one to three days in-house processing time plus the transit time (one day for Overnight or two days for 2nd Day). As such, overnight delivery orders can take up to 3 business days to arrive. Guarantee does not apply to factory direct items, freight items, hazardous (no-fly) items, or orders shipped to Puerto Rico, APO/FPO or P.O. Box addresses. Orders must be placed and funds received by the Ordered By date.

After your order is shipped, you will receive an e-mail containing tracking information for your package(s). This information is also available by logging in to Your Account and clicking "Order History." Note: in some cases the shipping carrier may be unable to provide tracking information.

MisterArt.com offers several shipping services in order to meet your desired delivery time. Shipping charges are based on the subtotal of your order, the delivery option you choose, and the destination. Here is a breakdown of our shipping charges:

Some orders may also include a surcharge for oversized items, hazardous materials, or shipments in excess of 30 pounds. Some items ship via freight company or directly from the factory.

For a limited time, MisterArt.com is offering free shipping on orders in excess of $200 with some restrictions:

  • Order subtotal must be $200 or more.
  • Order must be shipped to a physical address (no P.O. Boxes).
  • Orders must be shipped within the continental U.S.
  • If an order contains a factory-direct, size-restricted or weight-restricted item (marked with an icon in the item no. column of a product) or the total order exceeds 30 lbs., the customer pays only the surcharge; the base shipping rate is free.
  • Gift certificates are not included in the subtotal amount.
  • Cannot be combined with other offers.
  • Not valid on previous purchases.
  • MisterArt.com reserves the right to change or discontinue this free shipping offer at any time.

No Fly icon (No-Fly)
 Certain items are considered hazardous and require special shipping precautions. These items include volatile and flammable materials as well as products with harmful fumes and other properties. Items marked No-Fly can be only shipped via standard ground shipping and cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO, or P.O. Boxes.

Large icon (Large)
 Items marked as LG are considered oversized items by shipping companies. Due to these products' weight or dimensions, special shipping arrangements must be made and additional fees must be assessed. Some shipping options are not available for LG items.

Extra large icon (Extra Large)
 Items marked as XL are more than double the size or weight limit for standard shipping. Special shipping arrangements must be made for these oversized items and additional fees must be assessed. Some shipping options are not available for XL products.

Freight icon (Freight)
 Many of the items MisterArt.com sells are too large to be shipped by typical shipping carriers, so we must ship them via freight service. These items, noted with a truck icon, are shipped to your curbside. If you require inside delivery, you must contact the delivery company to make special arrangements. Additional costs for inside delivery and lift gate are incurred by the customer and paid directly to the freight company upon delivery scheduling. We cannot ship Freight items to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. Boxes.

Factory Direct icon (Factory Direct)
 Items marked with the Factory Direct icon are shipped directly to you from a manufacturer. Shipping charges for factory-direct items are noted in the product description.

If you order additional items and wish to calculate your total shipping cost, please use the subtotal of the non-factory direct items to calculate shipping charges using our table, and then add any additional Factory Direct shipping charges as noted in the product description.

Factory-direct items may take longer to receive, and items ordered together may arrive separately. Factory-direct items cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. boxes.

Additional shipping charges

Partial Shipments

MisterArt.com strives to keep a complete and adequate inventory of products in stock at all times. However, certain products may not be available at the time of your order. In such cases, we will remove the missing items from your invoice and either ship the remaining items on your order or contact you for instructions on how to proceed. Note: we are unable to process backorders, so you are only billed for items that ship.

International Shipping

MisterArt.com currently ships to all 50 United States as well as APO/FPO addresses and Puerto Rico. At this time, we do not ship internationally, nor do we ship to Guam or other U.S. protectorates. We do hope to enable international shipping at some point in the future, so be sure to check back from time to time!

APO/FPO & P.O. Box addresses

We do ship to APO/FPO and post office box addresses. APO/FPO delivery times may vary significantly. Some restrictions apply based on value and weight of order. Unfortunately, we cannot ship items marked No-Fly, Freight, or Factory Direct to APO/FPO and P.O. Box addresses.

Prison addresses

MisterArt.com does not ship to inmates at correctional facilities due to restrictions on the types of products that may be delivered to these addresses.

Returns

Returning an item you don't want

If after inspection of your order, you no longer want an item or have purchased too much of a particular item, you may return it to us (at your expense) for a refund or replacement as long as it is within 30 days of the shipment date. The product must arrive back to us unused and in the original wrapping or container. Credit will be given for the original purchase price less a 15-percent restocking fee (unless the order was defective or an incorrect item was shipped). Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Items marked "Factory Direct" are subject to a restocking fee of up to 20 percent.

We regret that we cannot issue refunds for videos, DVDs, or CDs. All sales are final. In the event of a defective video, DVD, or CD, we will replace it with an identical one.

Before returning items, you will need to notify us. Please contact Customer Service from our Contact Us page or by calling toll free at 1-800-721-3015. You will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to include with your returned inventory as well as the address of our returns department.

All returns must be accompanied by the original packing slip. After a returned item has been received, it will take two to three weeks to process. Refunds will appear on your credit card billing statement.

Received a damaged item

MisterArt.com guarantees that all products sold are of the finest quality and free from defects. If there is a defect with a product you have ordered, it can be returned within 30 days and a new item will be sent to you.

You will need to notify us before making a return. Contact Customer Service from our Contact Us page or by calling toll free at 1-800-721-3015. You will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to include with your returned inventory as well as the address of our returns department.

MisterArt.com works diligently to fill every order quickly, completely, and without error. Sometimes we make mistakes. If you received an incorrect item or an item you did not order, please notify us.

MisterArt.com does not require that you create an account in order to browse through our online store. However, in order to make a purchase, customers need to create an account either before shopping or during the checkout process. This ensures that we are able to offer our VIP customers the correct pricing for their orders. To create a MisterArt.com account, select My Account located near the top right corner of the website. Choose "Create Account" and follow the steps to create a new account. You may also reach this page by selecting "Checkout" once you have placed items in your shopping cart.

Placing your order

You may place orders online or by phone.

To place an order online, find the item(s) you want from our website. In the Quantity field, enter the amount you want to buy, and then click the "Add to Cart" button. Once you've filled your cart, you will be prompted to continue to checkout. You must log in or create an account in order to complete the checkout process. Follow these easy steps and your order will be complete. You will receive an e-mail when you place your order and again when your order has shipped.

Promotions and discounts

As a subscriber to MisterArt.com's e-mail newsletter, you'll have access to sales, deals, and coupon codes. Some discounts will be subtracted automatically at checkout. Other discounts require that you enter a coupon code. Codes are provided in our e-mailed promotions. Coupon codes must be entered where noted in your shopping cart to receive the discount. Our coupons have expiration dates, so it's best to take advantage of these codes as soon as you receive them in your e-mail inbox.

Closeouts

Occasionally, our manufacturers will discontinue an item regularly carried by MisterArt.com. These "closeout" products are usually discounted heavily, and we are able to pass this savings directly on to our customers. We mark these items with an "On Sale" icon on relevant product pages, and we often feature them in our Bargain Bin. Because such products will no longer be produced in the future, once they are gone, they are gone for good. Be sure to take advantage of these great deals while they last!

With tens of thousands of arts and crafts supplies in our inventory, chances are MisterArt.com has what you need-whether you're searching for a specific product or just browsing to discover something new and fun. There are several ways to find what you're looking for at MisterArt.com. Browsing
Stroll through the aisles of our store by browsing the Shopping Departments listed along the left side of the website. This is a list of all of our departments, or product categories. As you move your mouse over the department that interests you, you'll notice additional options appear. These are more specific areas of the store. Think of them as shelves within the department aisles. Choose either the main department or a section of that department to view its products.

When the product listings appear, they can be filtered by brand, price, and more. These choices are found on the column to the left. Within the results, the products can also be sorted by top sellers, customer ratings, new items, etc.

With More Ways to Shop, you can peruse specific types of products like best sellers, new arrivals, top rated, and bargain bin. You'll also find great gift ideas and an alphabetized list of brand names for all of our top manufacturers.

Searching
Because MisterArt.com offers so many discounted, name-brand art supplies, sometimes searching for a particular item can be tricky. You'll find a search box at the top left of our site. Simply type what you're looking for into the "Enter Search Terms" field and click the search button to search our entire online store. Results will be displayed for all the products MisterArt.com sells that match your search terms, with the closest matches displayed at the top of the list. You can enter keywords (like "gesso"), brands, or item numbers. When you find what you want, select any of the items in your search results to visit its product page or just add the item to your shopping cart directly from the search page.

MisterArt.com's search feature only returns information on our products. To find information on shipping rates, gift certificates, contact information, or anything else, please refer to our Help section.

Simple search
Sometimes a general search can return hundreds of results that are tedious and confusing to scroll through. Similarly, a very specific search might be too restrictive and eliminate many of your desired products.

To get the most results, type a single word in the "Enter Search Terms" field. For example, searching for [paint] will yield many results while searching for [acrylic paint] will yield fewer, more specific results. Thus, searching for [Liquitex acrylic paint] will yield even fewer and more closely matching results. If you are having trouble finding a product, try reducing your search terms or using more generic terms to receive more results.

Note that the MisterArt.com search function automatically returns results for derivations of your search query. So, a search for [paint] also returns results for paints, painting, painted, etc. Similarly, searching for [grey color] will also find matches that contain the words gray and colour.

Phrase search (" ")
By putting double quotes around a set of words, you can search for those exact words in that exact order without any changes. This is a great search option if you are looking for a specific product. However, by using a phrase search you might be missing good results accidentally. For example, a search for ["Liquitex Acrylic"] (with quotes) will return results for Liquitex Acrylic Gesso but miss the pages that refer to Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paint.

Terms you want to exclude (-)
Including a minus or subtraction sign (-) immediately before a word indicates that you do not want pages that contain this word to appear in your search results. The minus should appear immediately before the word and must be preceded with a space or the minus sign is interpreted as a hyphen. The query [Liquitex -paint] will search for the word Liquitex but exclude paint products. You can exclude as many words as you want by using the minus sign in front of all of them, for example [Liquitex -paint -gesso -fabric].

Search exactly as is (+)
Our search feature matches synonyms automatically, so it will find products that include, for example, "watercolors" for the query [water colors] (with a space), or "brush cleaner" for the query [brush cleanser]. But sometimes our search feature helps out a little too much and gives you a synonym when you don't really want it. By attaching a plus sign (+) immediately before a word (remember, don't add a space after the plus), you can search only for the word precisely as you typed it. For example, the query [+fingerpaint] will not return results for "finger paints."

The OR operator
By default, MisterArt.com's search function is programmed to consider all the words in a search query. For example, if you search for [acrylic paint brush], your results will only display products that include all the words "acrylic," "paint," and "brush." If you want to specifically allow either one of several words, you can use the OR operator (note that you have to type 'OR' in ALL CAPS). For example, [acrylic paint OR brush] will show results including either "acrylic paint" or "acrylic brush". In this case, the search must contain the word "acrylic" and also one of your OR search terms.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are documents intended to educate workers and emergency personnel on the safe usage of potentially harmful substances. Each Material Safety Data Sheet includes information on a specific substance, such as that substance's melting point, boiling point, flash point, toxicity, and other physical properties. An MSDS also typically includes information on the potential health effects of handling or working with the substance as well as detailed first aid, storage, cleanup, and disposal procedures.

Material Safety Data Sheets are intended for workers who may need to safely handle a potentially hazardous substance at work, for employers who need to know the proper methods for storage and usage of potentially hazardous substances, and for emergency responders (such as firefighters, hazardous material crews, emergency medical technicians, and emergency room personnel) who may need to safely help others who have been exposed to hazardous substances.

To view a product's data sheet, simply click on the MSDS link on the right side of the product page. This will take you to MSDS website, where you can search by product name or manufacturer name. The MSDS website requires you to log in or create an account. Accounts are free, however, and the site houses millions of different data sheets for your safety and convenience.

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP)

Our company was founded on the principle of delivering the lowest prices possible to our customers. Our vendors have their own ideas about how much you should be paying, however. Some believe that if you aren't paying high prices for their products, their carefully cultivated image as a luxury name brand will be destroyed. These vendors forbid us from discounting their products and insist that we keep our lowest prices a secret. Because our products sell for less then these vendors' minimum advertised prices (MAP), we cannot display our sales prices on the product pages of particular items.

At MisterArt.com, though, we believe that art supplies are necessities, not luxuries. We keep our prices low so that all of our products may be judged on their merits rather than their price tags. To view the price of any product on our site, simply add the item to your shopping cart. All of our low sales prices can be viewed in your shopping cart with no obligation to buy.

Gifts & Gift Certificates

E-gift certificates

MisterArt.com offers e-mail gift certificates in any denomination to be redeemed in our online store. Gift certificates are sent to the recipient via e-mail when the order is processed or on the future date selected when creating the gift certificate. To order an e-mail gift certificate, visit our Gift Certificate page and follow the simple instructions for ordering.

MisterArt.com gift certificates are redeemable for merchandise on MisterArt.com. They cannot be redeemed for cash or gift certificates, and they cannot be replaced if lost. Because they are not shipped, you pay no shipping on a gift certificate purchase. In addition, you do not pay tax on the purchase of a gift certificate.

Gift certificate balance

You can check the balance of your gift certificate by visiting our Gift Certificate page and entering your gift certificate number in the fields provided on the right-hand side. This number was included in the e-mailed gift certificate you received.

Redeeming a gift certificate

Be sure to have your gift certificate number on hand. This number was e-mailed to you when you received your gift certificate

Add the items you'd like to your shopping cart and then proceed to checkout. At checkout step 3, Payment Type, you can select "Gift Certificate." You will then be asked for the gift certificate number, and the gift certificate amount will be applied to your order total. If your order total exceeds the gift certificate amount, the remaining payment can be made with a credit card or another gift certificate. Alternatively, if the gift certificate amount exceeds your order total, the unused portion of your gift certificate can be applied to a future purchase.

Buying a gift

Adding a gift message to your order

If you're purchasing a gift to be shipped directly to the recipient, you may include a message that will appear on the packing slip accompanying the order. This message can be entered in Step 2 of the Checkout process. If you include any words in the gift message area, prices will not appear on the shipment's packing slip.
