This artists' oil painting medium is a clearer and heavier linseed oil. It enhances color intensity, improves flow, increases the flexibility of the paint film, and increases gloss. This stand oil features excellent resistance to yellowing and excellent leveling. Use to make traditional oil mediums. Extra heavy body formula--should not be used in large amounts directly into oil colors unless thinned with an oil or solvent.

Available in a 2.5-ounce (74 ml) bottle.

1/3 stand oil with 2/3 Turpenoid makes the most wonderful medium for oil painting. It is a "recipe" used by master-artists. I have used it since my studies in NYC in 1990 and have not changed (why change a good thing?). It makes a wonderful thin glaze allowing paint to glide on (or off) while painting. After the many months it takes to complete the painting the final glaze is the protector and makes all the colors rich and vibrant.
