Fill this 12-oz. glass tank with a solvent appropriate for the chosen painting medium. The Silicoil Brush Cleaning Tank is commonly used for holding turpentine to clean oil painting brushes, but it may alternatively be used with water or other commercial brush cleaning fluids. The tank features an aluminum coil and screw-on lid for storing the liquid between paintings.

When changing colors or cleaning brushes after a painting session, stroke the bristles across the inner coil to effectively remove paint from between the hairs and up near the ferrule. The spring-like coil provides a balance of tension and flexibility to aid in cleaning without damaging the brush. Paint particles settle to the bottom over time and the raised coil platform stays clean for continued use.

Do you use this cleaner during painting or after?

The Brush Cleaning Fluid is used to clean your brushes after you have finished painting. This is not to be used during painting.

The system is good at cleanig the brushes, but you cant clean the tank. The coil will not come out for me to clean it and now has residue in the bottom........... not good. I would not buy this.

This bruch cleaning tank is a very inexpensive way to cary brush cleaner around with you when you paint on location. I also use one in the studio. For the money, you can't beat it.

I actually bought the brush cleaning TANK--not the fluid. The tank is pretty handy if you use it to mix medium (turp/oil/varnish). I like the metal coil that comes in the tank--it really gets between the bristles of the brush and cleans it well.

Although I've only used water in the Silicoil tank, it is sufficient, since I'm using watercolors. The coils work amazingly well to gently clean my brushes. Just stroking them across the top of the coil does more than all of the swishing and plunging I used to do and it's much easier on the bristles. I'd highly recommend the Silicoil tank.

I purchased the silicoil brush cleaning tank and I love it. It cleans brushes off very easily due to the coil in the tank.

I love this stuff. I have used it for years but now I live in France and unfortunately I can't find it here.

This product works really well at cleaning brushes, but the odor is really strong.

Fantastic cleaner that really works and doesn't harm the brushes. How did I ever paint without this product?

My oil paint instructor recommended this product. Had a hard time to find it available, easily available at website. Great to clean brushes without ruining them, and works well for transporting too.

I bought this product after reading the reviews, and I would agree that it is very good. It's an easy and fast way to clean brushes. I definitely recommend it.

This is an awesome product! I cannot believe how well it cleans my brush with such little effort. Even the very difficult colors like red and green come out of the brushes easily. All I have been using is water in the jar. No cleaning solution or alcohol. Amazing. I will definitely buy another to keep in my painting bag!!!

The coil helps to keep brushes out of the heavy gunk that settles to the bottom of the jar. Seals shut when not in use.
