I continue to use Duncan Patch-Attach. It is the most reliable reliable mender I have used.
Rated by: Martha Daniels in Palm Springs area, CA
I have used Duncan Patch-Attach for years. I use it primarily for repairing low-fire ceramic sculpture in the greenware state, or for crack repairs after a bisque firing. For my purposes, it is the most reliable and least expensive ceramic mender. Instead of just dabbing some onto each piece to be attached together, I usually make a thick slurry mixed from the clay body and Patch-Attach, then dab some on each piece, or into the crack needing filling. I press pieces together and hold them in place for a few minutes, let dry, then bisque fire again, and problem is solved. (In difficult cases, I sometimes repeat the process and bisque fire a second time.) Fired Patch-Attach also works well with all glazes I use and does not affect color. It's a very reliable product and easy to use.

The wax resist works exactly as expected. Saves me a lot of clean-up time when glazing.
