Product Questions and Answers

Can you use this on smooth foam?

- Asked by KRISTIN on 22-Feb-14
Answer

The Short Cuts by Krylon are not recommended for use on foam. We suggest using the Webbing Spray Faux Finish by Krylon or the Fusion Spray Paint for Plastic by Krylon instead.

- Answered by MisterArt on 27-Feb-14

Can the Krylon Short Cuts paint be applied to bare wood?

- Asked by Anne-Marie on 29-Aug-13
Answer

It will stick to wood, but you will get a smoother look and save paint if you use a Krylon primer first.

I've tried many aerosal paints for craft projects and this one is the best. I've used it on wood and metal. It covers metal better than any other product. Fast drying and smooth finish.
Rated by: Mark B. in Melbourne, FL
I love this paint. I use it on my model cars and trucks and it leaves a nice smooth, glossy finish. The colors it is available in is excellent. I just wish it was sold in larger cans.

Out of all the spray paint that I've tried on Depron Foam, Short Cuts is the best. Sticks on great, and the colors look great!

Great selection of colors. Easy to use on a wide variety of surfaces.

For painting and trimming foam projects this finishing material is excellent. In addition Krylon offers an extensive color selection. Pleasure to use.
Rated by: Jorge H. in Oakland, CA
Easily one of the best colors krylon has put out there, the paint itself dries quickly and buffs great. My only complaint would be that it comes in such a small aerosol can.
Rated by: Gary A. in Hammond, IN
Been useing Krylon to paint plastic models for several years dries hard buffs out great. I let it dry about 2 weeks befor buffing.
Rated by: Michael L. in Los Angeles, CA
On plastic surfaces, paint remains sticky and then rubs off. I would not recommend for things that you will be touching much. For other things, though, this may be the economical solution.
